What is Goodbuzz?

Goodbuzz is a social marketing platform that accelerates word of mouth online and offline.

The basic concept is crowdsourcing advertising budgets. GoodBuzz challenges advertisers not to spend their funds in the traditional way, but instead give their marketing budget directly to their fans, followers and clients to do the promotion work for them.

Time

Advertisers post their advertisement and deposit a tip for people who happen to like what they are doing to spread their message to friends and followers (on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, or by email).

The tip is an amount of money for the people who spread the advertisers’ campaign. At the end of the campaign, the tip is split between these people relatively to the leads they've generated.

Get it? No?

It’s easier to understand Goodbuzz with the following step by step explanation:

  • You need help to promote an event or a new product, you go to Goodbuzz to create an advertisement for it.
  • Then, you deposit a tip, like in a restaurant or a bar, for people who happen to like what you are doing, and will share your advertisement with their friends and contacts on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin or by email. Let say you deposit $100 tip for your supporters.
  • Your advertisement will be displayed on GoodBuzz like here: http://www.goodbuzz.org/archive/gb2demo/demo/promotion1.html
  • People will visit your advertisement page on GoodBuzz and start sharing it with their friends and contacts. You could check in real time how many people are sharing your promotion: http://www.goodbuzz.org/archive/gb2demo/demo/statistics-my-promotions.html
  • At the end of the campaign (maximum 1 month), the tip you left ($100) is distributed to all the people who spread your message. The Goodbuzz software tracks and calculates everything automatically.
  • In the end, you are happy because you have reached more people and it is less stress to promote your events and products in the future.

Why Goodbuzz works?

Goodbuzz works, because nowadays 75% of people discover new things because another person has shared them with them. It’s a smart way to spread message with a minimum budget.

And, people are rewarded for the time they spent finding and sharing what they like. It’s an easy way to earn extra money every month.

How is GoodBuzz different from "pay per post", "pay per click" or "sponsored tweet" websites?

GoodBuzz success comes from our unique insight into human nature, and our stance that social marketing has its own dynamics, and should not be wrapped in the old marketing clothes.

In fact, GoodBuzz is built ground up as a social game, intelligently using the most widespread social incentive system (tipping) to leverage the most widespread social behavior on the web: sharing.

Unlike other social marketing solution, GoodBuzz masterfully separated itself from competition by leveraging a social incentive system (tipping) for social marketing, making advertisers and their supporters to feel at ease promptly.

Who is behind the service?

Goodbuzz is founded by Mawuna Koutonin, a world peace activist who relentlessly works to empower people to express their full potential and pursue their dreams, regardless of their background.

Born in Togo (West Africa) in a small village 200km from the capital Lome, Koutonin was the first of his father 36 children to attend University and graduated with two Master degrees (Master in Philosophy and Master in Business Administration).

In 1993, when Koutonin was forced to walk ten miles a day to go to school, he discovered a formula that completely changed his life.

In 1994, he traded his basic food allowance to pay for his first class in computers while studying art and philosophy at university. With friends, he created one of the first Togo news website on the Internet in 1995.

Koutonin's passion for the Internet coupled with his wish to make his father be proud of him gave birth to his company.

At a deepest level, the mission of his company is to preserve and advocate the belief that “We are on earth to serve each other”. And, he envisioned a future where his company’s tools make each individual on earth an active and generous sponsor of the success of others.

Koutonin’s ultimate dream is to open a world-class human potential development school in Africa in 2017. If you are interested in learning more about this venture or Koutonin’s other projects, you can reach him directly by emailing at mk@linkcrafter.com.
